ABOUT US
 

Cumbernauld Swimming Club was founded in 1964 when training was held at Cumbernauld High School. The club transferred to the Tryst Swimming Pool in 1973 and immediately blossomed from a small club of 50 members to over 100 members. The club is now well established as one of the top swimming clubs in Scotland and operates with 120 swimmers divided into six squads who train up to eight of nine sessions per week.

Over the last 30 years the club has produced many Scottish and British International swimmers including Commonwealth Games Medallists and Olympic Finalists.

The Improvers Squad is the introductory group for young inexperienced swimmers where enjoyment is equal to learning, and the main emphasis is on skill development.

- providing a high level of qualified expertise in coaching and sports science.
 
- providing a combination of opportunities to enable all competitive members to fulfil their maximum potential.
